Visit Ireland’s oldest linen village and Flax Centre.

An insight into the workings of Ireland’s oldest remaining linen mill, 300 Years in the Making shows how textile processing knowledge and expertise built up over three centuries has forged a modern path for William Clark & Sons from the manufacturing of technical garment fabrics to Earthed, our contemporary furnishing range.

Step back in time with a journey through Upperlands, Ireland’s oldest linen village. Learn about the fabric of local history at the Flax Visitor Centre which is located in an old industrial building just across the road from the last surviving linen beetling machines (a process which dates from the 1730s).

Opening Times:

The Old Mill Tuesday – Saturday 10:00am – 4.30pm

The Flax Visitor Centre Tuesday – Friday 11:00am – 3:00pm Saturday 11:00am – 1:00pm
