The Histories of factories in NI captured in contemporary photography

August – September | Sat & Sundays 1:00-5:00pm

The Barn Museum, Tannaghmore

Alex Lange’s Photography is based on his fascination with the history of the factories in NI. In particular, how for hundreds of years entire townships were centred around them culturally and economically, yet now the factories sit largely empty and almost forgotten, despite their large material presence.

He sees them very much as metaphors for loss, pain and fading memory; the work speaks about the artist himself as well as the factories.
