Are you good with people, curious about local history or talented with a camera? If you have time, skills or knowledge why not support the Linen Biennale and become a Flax Friend?

PRACTICAL HELP

We’re building a community of volunteers to help support and deliver this year’s programme of events which take place across Northern Ireland during August, September and October. Why not drop us a line and find out more about how you can get involved and what we can offer you in terms of experiences or training.

As well as practical help we’d love to hear from anyone who has specialist knowledge or skills associated with linen. Is there an historic site in your area, or a resource that should be shared more widely?

We want to celebrate Northern Ireland’s linen story, connecting various pockets of specialist knowledge that remain with us, and build partnerships to safeguard the skills and experience in danger of being lost for good.
